Join us downstairs at the St. James Legion as Ken Friesen shares tales of adventure, mischief and brotherly love from his new book that details his odyssey to reach all 236 named lakes of Whiteshell Provincial Park.
Over 14 years, surpassing 2400 kilometers of challenging terrain, weather, and obstacles, Ken Friesen and his friends journeyed from one end of the park to the other, using their own physical power to achieve their goal. Basking in the glory of nature, Ken and his entourage experienced the outrageous: sleeping in snow, packs of wolves, comical paddling adventures and even a flatulent fireworks display! All the while building lifelong bonds of irreplaceable friendship. Join Ken and his friends as they canoe, hike, and bike their way through every season on the Canadian Shield, each journey inching them closer to the Last Lake. You might just find yourself itching to follow suit!
