About the event
Pioneer Camp on Shoal Lake has been the home for Canoe School for more than 25 years. We partner with Paddle Canada to offer canoe courses at instructor and introduction and intermediate skills levels. Some of the province’s best instructors will be on hand to give you personal coaching and feedback. Whether you are a beginner or advanced paddler, this is a great chance to further your skills.
Introduction to Tandem Lake Canoeing May 15-16, 2026

A great course for beginners wanting to learn to canoe on lakes with a paddling partner. In this course you will learn strokes, manoeuvres, and rescue techniques. Great for couples, friends, parents with older kids wanting a new activity, and for individuals interested in canoe trips.
